My name is Tyla, most often Ty, and to some – TyFace.
I am a 24 year old, freckled, pale skin, blonde haired girl living in Cape Town, South Africa. My friends and family say I am weird (and I guess I am), so it comes as no surprise that it’s the odd things in life that inspire me to be creative.

I am passionate about makeup, beauty, photography, a healthy lifestyle and all my social media endeavours, which I create to help you, inspire you, and to entertain you.

My makeup journey started in 2011, the first time that I touched makeup, it was the first time that I was allowed to apply it, allowed to paint it on my face. As a child, I was denied the wonder of makeup and only when I left school and entered University was I granted permission to play around with it, and here I am today: a self taught makeup enthusiast with a small space on the Internet.

In my first few years of learning about makeup and beauty, I spent my mornings and my evenings watching YouTube videos. I would watch how other women, that were just like myself, taught the world how to apply makeup. They were so talented, so enthusiastic, so beautiful, and that is when I decided that I wanted to be a part of their world. There were numerous occasions where I thought it a great idea to create my own channel but I was too shy to film myself and too shy to share the videos with the world. In 2014 I created my first video for my YouTube channel, and I am so thankful for the feedback that I have received.

Before creating videos, I created this blog to share makeup ideas, beauty tips and life experiences because I wanted somewhere I could share my new found love for beauty, photography, design, and a healthy lifestyle. There may be some PG stuff on here, some hard truths, and there may be some twinkly things too, but all are from me to you. I hope that you find the same passion from my website and my writings as what I have put into it for you.
