An engineer and now lifestyle blogger living in Gauteng
I am passionate about creating a happy and healthy life that’s affordable and chic, so I have created this blog to share my experiences, in hopes that it will help and inspire you.
To name a few, here you will find, healthy and sometimes indulgent recipes, fun things to do with your partner, beautiful travel destinations and reviews about latest movies, products and restaurants. There is something for everyone.
1. How did you first get into blogging?
I got into blogging because I enjoy sharing my thoughts and experiences with everyone and being so young, I felt there was a need for me to share with other young people out there looking for reviews on the latest restaurants, events, movies etc. I also got the opportunity to meet other bloggers and experience a little of their environment and I was immediately hooked because I love meeting people and exchanging experiences
2. How often do you blog?
I try to blog at least once a week but sometimes life takes over more than usual and I do miss a chance to blog. I don’t beat myself up about it though because blogging is a fun process and the moment you become stressed by it you will lose inspiration and not want to continue.
3. Where do you find inspiration to blog?
I find inspiration is my everyday life, my family and my interests.
4. Who is your style icon?
Kendall Jenner. I love her classy, romantic and elegant style.
5. Have you met anyone interesting/famous on your blogging journey?
Not yet but I am exciting and pray I have something good to say and not giggle like a kid.
6. What is your favourite beauty/fashion magazine?
Glamour! Compact with free samples of beauty products. Love how I can take it with me where ever I go and their content is relevant and on trend.
7. What are some of your current fashion and beauty obsessions?
In fashion right now I am currently obsessing over any clothing item that’s off-shoulder, from tops to mini dresses. My beauty obsession right now is CLARINS LIP COMFORT OIL. I have it in Raspberry flavour. It smells divine and leaves my lips feeling so moisturized.
8. Who is your celebrity crush?
Nikki Minja. “Beautiful and Confident”!
9. Coffee or tea?
Can’t get enough of Green tea! The stronger the better!
10. Favourite Olsen?
ASHELY OSLEN. I have always loved her style and her beautiful eyes.
11. Heels? Or flats?
Both! A girl as to have variety when it comes to her shoes.
12. Favourite MAC Lipstick colour?
Haven’t tried mac yet but will be soon.
13. What are your go to beauty products?
I love body scrubs! Especially the ones from Body shop, they smell so divine and transport you to a place of relaxation. I have always been told my best feature on my face are my eyes, so I always like to enhance them with a good jet black mascara from Maybelline and eyeliner.
14. What is the one thing you will never leave the house without?
My sling bag from Italy that was a gift to me. I always need stuff with me wherever I go and this bag is always packed and ready to hit the road with me.
15. How many tattoos do you have? And what do they mean?
No tattoos but I am considering getting one that will hold real meaning to me as I am a very sentimental person.
16. What is your favourite quote?
Be yourself, because everyone else is taken.
You are unique so don’t feel pressured into following the norm. Do what makes you happy and that is being true to yourself about who you are.
17. What is one thing your readers would be surprised to hear about you?
I love cooking, baking and trying out new restaurants but I am not a big eater. I sometimes even battle to finish my meal and you will most probably spot me leaving a restaurant with a doggie bag in hand because I don’t like wasting food.
18. Who is your favourite local (South African) blogger?
I don’t have one because I follow so many and each one has a unique style of writing and a pleasant way of sharing their thoughts.
19. What would you say is your biggest blogging challenge, and how do you overcome it?
Finding my balance to get it all done. Sometimes life can get so overwhelming and that for me at times is a challenge to finally making some time to blog. However when my fingers hit the keyboard, I am once again in my happy space getting lost in my writing process.
20. What advice would you give someone who wants to start a blog?
It can be a fun and rewarding environment if you commit. However there is a balance that you must find when you become a blogger because your daily life may be very demanding or become very demanding so you need to constantly adjust yourself to your changing environment.
