My Essence Must Haves Palette

I have always wanted an 'all-in-one' makeup palette the is great quality. There are always knock-offs that are easy to come by that contain some lip colours, some seriously dark face powder (which clearly will never work for me), and a ton of low quality eye shadows. And then on the other hand there are high end brands that allow you to customise a palette to suit your needs, but not all of us can afford these.

When I saw that Essence brought out their own range of 'DIY palettes' I rushed to the shops to go and make my own, and now I have finally had the time to share my Essence Must Have palette with you.

My 'Must Haves' palette is made up of eye shadows that can double up as eye brow shadows, blush, contour powder and even a setting powder. It took this opportunity to create the perfect 'travel-buddy' palette that can go anywhere and I would only need to take a single palette with me.

I put a peachy-pink shimmer shade into my palette so that I could use it as a pop of colour on my eyes, but also so that I could use it as a blush.

Colour: 11 Stay in Coral Bay

I chose a more silver-pink shimmer shade to use as a pop of colour on the centre of my eye lid, but also to use as a highlight on the inner corner of my eye and possible on my cheeks.

Colour: 05 Cotton Candy

I feel that you can never go wrong with a gold glitter, plus it makes blue eyes pop, so I chose to put a gold shimmer shade into my palette.

Colour: 01 Go Goldie!

I chose a silver shimmer shade for those days where I just want a little shimmer in my life. Also, I think it would be rocking as a highlight on my cheeks!

Colour: 17 Tiffunny

I chose a white shimmer shade for general highlighting - the inner corner, the brow bones, and the cheeks.

Colour: 13 Snowflake

I love the name of this shade. Chilli Vanilli - so cute! I picked up this natural shade because it is a similar shade to my skin tone. I chose this shade to use as a transition shade when blending 2 or more shades on my eye lid, and also as a setting powder for concealer.

Colour: 09 Chilli Vanilli

I picked this dark shade for 2 reasons: to fill in my eye brows; and to darken the outer corner of my eye when I create amazing looks with this palette.

Colour: 04 Brownie’licious

Taupe is definitely one of my must haves, in any palette. I chose a taupe shade to contour - and by contour I mean crease, cheek bones, nose, forehead, and even neck!

Colour: 05 T.G.I.F

What is amazing about this palette is that when a colour finishes, I can just replace a pan rather than the entire palette, or having to go and buy the colour as a single and having more to add to my makeup bag.
